Client: Mercy Health System, Cincinnati
Project: Writing of brochure to promote seminar featuring national pregnancy health speaker
At the time of the project, Mercy Health was a premier healthcare provider with more than 80 network locations throughout Cincinnati, and had been serving Greater Cincinnati neighborhoods for more than 160 years. Mercy Health’s services include maternity to senior care, primary and specialty care physician practices, outpatient centers, etc. The organization employed 9,000 people, and was affiliated with more than 1,800 physicians.
TASKS
Mercy Health hired Bastian to write a a promotional brochure to drum up attendance for a high-profile pregnancy educational seminar the healthcare system was sponsoring in Cincinnati. The key speaker was nationally famous writer Heidi Murkoff, co-author of the wildly popular book What to Expect When You’re Expecting. Bastian interviewed Heidi and conducted her own research about the topics to be discussed before presenting the final copy to the client. Once approved, the resulting brochure was distributed throughout the region to pregnant mothers weeks prior to the seminar. The client told Bastian the event was well-attended and deemed a success thanks in large part to this brochure.
