The Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority is the primary agency supporting the promotion of meeting, convention and tourism business for the Reno/Sparks/North Lake Tahoe region.

 

Reno, Nevada, is known as “The Biggest Little City in the World” and is famous for its casinos. Smaller Sparks is a town with its own Western flair and a more laid-back tourist town. Lake Tahoe, a major tourist attraction in both Nevada and California, offers numerous ski resorts, summer outdoor recreation activities and tourist attractions. Snow and skiing represent a major part of the area’s economy and reputation.

Bastian was invited on a week-long, all-expenses paid FAM trip by the local economic development authorityto learn about the business and leisure assets of Reno/Sparks/Lake Tahoe. Afterwards, she wrote a major feature about the region for a national business travel publication, Business Travel Management magazine.
